Q&A: Does anyone know of a user friendly updated and completely free registry repair download.?

Question by johnnieblaze08: Does anyone know of a user friendly updated and completely free registry repair download.?
I have a new windows 7 but it already needs a good cleaning. I looked up some old questions but all of the posts were lies. Many suggested ‘Free” registry cleaners but after I installed and did a cleaning they wanted to charge me to continue. Any suggestion from one computer lover to another?

  1. http://ccleaner.com

  2. Most people will recommend CCleaner which u can get from http://www.ccleaner.com

This is a 100% free cleaner that works on Windows 7. However, be careful with it beacuse it only finds around 50-100 different errors on your typical Windows system. I used to use it a lot but then I realized that it’s not that effective. It’s good as a free tool and has a nice file scanner component… but if you want to use it to specifically speed up Windows 7, then I’d forget it.

I now use a tool called “RegCure” which is a premium cleaner. You may have used it in your search for the best cleaner… as its very popular. It finds 500+ errors normally and I found it to help my computer a lot better than CCleaner. It’s a personal choice but I use Regcure and u can read about it at http://www.fastregistryfixes.com/regcure_review.html

    yes, that is frustrating.
CCleaner does a good job, although it can break some things if the hive is locked in memory.
no other good free tool comes to mind, but if you want more than registry repair (thinking registry database defrag to regain performance), you can get RegistryBooster 2010 cheaper with a coupon code from http://www.dtcdeals.com/deal/20-OFF-Uniblue-RegistryBooster-2010-coupon-code-418.html Good luck!
